Overpayment Recovery Unit

The Overpayment Recovery Unit (ORU) is a unit created to ensure that any excess benefits paid to recipients are recovered. Staff in the ORU monitor several programs including:

• Medicaid

• Food assistance (formerly food stamps)

• Ohio Works First (cash assistance & workforce development program)

• child care
