Fun, free workshops for Medicaid-eligible pregnant women
Designed to prevent premature and low-weight births

Jan. 24, 2006 -- Get the word out to Medicaid-eligible pregnant women. Starting in February, HCJFS Pregnancy Services will present a series of monthly workshops aimed at preventing premature and low-weight births.

 

All sessions take place 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the TB Control conference room at 237 Taft. Call 946-7335 to pre-register for these fun, free workshops. There will be free snacks.

Feb. 22 -- Stages of Pregnancy, Leah Terhune, Midwives Care, Inc. and
                  CareSource managed care plan, Lera Battle

 

March 22 -- Breastfeeding and Nutrition, WIC & Mary Dunlap, Ohio State University
                    AmeriGroup managed care plan, Essie Matthews

 

April 26 -- Domestic Violence, Grundie Moore, HCJFS

 

May 24 -- Budget and Employment, Anthony Thomas, Urban League

 

June 28 --  PRC, food stamps, cash assistance, child care, child support, HCJFS staff
