Two from HCJFS named Employees of the Year

Project managers Tom Schutte of Information Systems and Loretta Workman of Workforce Development have been named Hamilton County Employees of the Year for 2006.

They are among six county Employees of the Year who were honored on Centennial Plaza (near City Hall) at noon May 3 as a part of the Public Service Recognition Week celebration.

Tom Schutte

"Tom is a highly admired employee known for quality work on projects of high significance to Hamilton County government," states his nomination. A co-worker describes him like this: "One of the hardest working and most dedicated people I have ever worked with in 38 years in Information Systems. Anyone in the private sector who thinks that government workers are slackers should try to keep up with him. He is a wealth of knowledge in our department. I enjoy working with him."

Jason Hecker, executive director, Literacy Center West, adds: "I think Loretta genuinely cares about bettering the lives of others.  Her compassion is sincere, and her enthusiasm is contagious.”
