Fun, free workshops for Medicaid-eligible pregnant women

July 20, 2006 -- Get the word out to Medicaid-eligible pregnant women. Starting in September, HCJFS Pregnancy Services will present a new series of monthly workshops aimed at preventing premature and low-weight births.

All sessions take place 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the TB Control conference room at 237 Taft. Call 946-7335 to pre-register for these fun, free workshops. There will be free snacks.

The lineup includes: 

Sept. 27 -- Stages of Pregnancy, CareSource managed care plan

Oct. 25 -- Breastfeeding and Nutrition, WIC, Ohio State University Extension
                 Office, AmeriGroup managed care plan

Nov. 30 -- Domestic Violence, Grundie Moore, HCJFS

Dec. 20 -- Budget and Employment, Anthony Thomas, Urban League
