| Child Support: 4Driver's license amnesty throughout August 4Juvenile Court warrants amnesty, Aug. 27-31 About 13,000 people who have had driver's licenses suspended for non-payment of child support can get them reinstated much easier in August. Hamilton County Child Support will join several other metro counties in offering amnesty, a part of the state's Child Support Awareness Month activities. For one month only, they can get their license back immediately based on a special offer. Generally, they have to pay the arrears in full or have a payment coming from an income withholding (a job or bank) for 30 days before the county will reinstate. Also, during the last week of August, about 3,000 individuals with warrants for chronic non-payment can possibly avoid jail time by making a payment or establishing wage withholding.
