Child Care rules to
change
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services
will be making changes to subsidized child care May 1 that will
affect caretakers, parents and providers that participate in the
system.
These latest
changes are the second phase of a three-phase plan that will
eventually allow parents and caregivers to use swipe cards instead
of vouchers to receive care.

win awards for good work
Six
HCJFS employees were recently awarded for their dedication to the
agency. If you
know or work with one of these six employees, please congratulate
them.
Melissa Stokley and Amy Story,
who both work in the Child Care section, were selected as two of the
Hamilton County Employees of the Year (pictured right).

Potter, who works in Children's Services; Antoinette Smothers,
Willie Rodgers, and Tim Dingler, all of Workforce Development; were
selected as HCJFS Rock Stars (pictured left).

HCJFS
works toward reaccreditation
Hamilton County Job and Family Services will be
examined this May for reaccreditation through the Council on
Accreditation, an independent organization founded by the
Child Welfare League of America and Family Services America to
promote best practice standards.
The agency was first accredited in 2001 and
successfully reaccredited in 2005. More...
