Attorneys, probation officers
and others with an interest in child support are invited to a free
workshop about proposed new state guidelines on Aug. 5 as part of
the Hamilton County Department of Job and Family Services'
observance of Child Support Awareness Month.
Attorneys can earn free Continuing
Legal Education (CLE) credits for the 2:45-5:45 p.m. workshop at 237
William H. Taft Road.
To register, call (513) 946-8251 or
e-mail
workshop@jfs.hamilton-co.org.
Changes are being proposed by a
commission reviewing Ohio's Child Support Guidelines. This workshop
will help people better understand what may be coming their way. A
brief opening ceremony will honor the annual Child Support Hero.
In addition to the workshop, the
agency plans:
* Driver's license amnesty
throughout August for more than 13,000 people with licenses
suspended for non-payment of support.
* Amnesty for more than 3,000 with
child support-related warrants issued through Juvenile and Domestic
Relations courts, Aug. 24-28.
* Publication of the Annual Most Wanted Poster for 2009.
And many other activities.
