Who are
foster kids?
Foster children come from all walks of life, from
all races, from any neighborhood. For the most part they
are normal children who have not had normal lives.
Here are a few facts characteristics of Hamilton
County’s foster children:
- All have been either abused or neglected.
- The majority are school-age and older.
- Most are members of sibling groups.
- Some have emotional and developmental delays.
- A small percentage are medically fragile.
