Welfare League of America (CWLA)
The Child Welfare League of
America is the nation's oldest and largest organization devoted entirely to
the well-being of America's vulnerable children and their families. Founded in
1920, CWLA is a membership association of almost 1,000 public and private
nonprofit agencies, which together serve over two million children and their
families across the United States annually. CWLA and its member agencies
provide a wide range of services to protect abused, neglected, and otherwise
vulnerable children and youths, and strengthen and support families for
children.
National Adoption Center
(NAC)
Non-profit organization whose
mission is to expand adoption opportunities throughout the United States for
children with special needs and those from minority cultures. The National
Adoption Center is responsible for AdoptUSKids, a nationwide
photolisting of waiting special needs children.
North American Council on Adoptable Children (NACAC)
The North American Council on
Adoptable Children is a non-profit organization whose mission is to expand
adoption opportunities throughout the United States for children with special
needs and those from minority cultures.
The National Adoption Information Clearinghouse
(NAIC)
The National Adoption
Information Clearinghouse, a comprehensive resource on all aspects of
adoption, is a service of the Children's Bureau, Administration on Children,
Youth and Families, Administration for Children and Families, Department of
Health and Human Services.
