Southwest Ohio Regional Training Center (SWORTC)

  • Hamilton County’s official adoption and foster care training provider.

  • All SWORTC sponsored training will satisfy your training requirements.

  • Classes are offered in a variety of locations locally.

  • Classes offered in seven surrounding Ohio counties. You can attend class in any county.

  • Licensed foster families receive a SWORTC training booklet quarterly.

  • Register in advance. Call (513) 632-6366.

  • Call (513) 632-6366 the day of class to confirm that the class is being held.

  • If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for class, you will not receive credit for attending.

  • Sign in as a Hamilton County foster parent. If you do not sign in you will not get credit for the class.

Training Booklets

  • Are available from the training coordinator. Just call (513) 946-1263 to request a booklet and ask about confirming completion of the booklet.

  • You will receive one hour of training credit for each booklet you complete. You can receive a maximum of eight training hours from booklets during your two-year license period.
