Welcome to HCKids!
..........................................................................................................................
We're glad
you're interested in adoption through Hamilton County
Job & Family Services!
To be
considered as a potential adoptive parent for a waiting
child, you MUST have a completed and approved
homestudy on file with an agency. Out-of-state
homestudies are welcome!
Due to
space limitations, we only accept homestudies from
parents interested in specific waiting children. We do not
keep unsolicited homestudies on file.
Training
to prepare for adoption is provided
free of charge locally through the
Southwest Ohio Regional Training
Center in Loveland, OH. If you reside outside
of Hamilton County, you may also contact your local
public children services agency or a private adoption
agency for training and homestudy information.
The majority of
children available for adoption
through HCJFS
are African American, over the age
of ten, and/or part of a sibling group.
While we don't usually have infants
and toddlers, they may come to us as
part of sibling sets.
All of our
children have experienced some level
of abuse or
neglect.
But despite their
troubled lives, most of the children
in our custody are much like any
others. They laugh and play, and
they have favorite toys, games and
friends. They also have hopes and
dreams for their futures -
especially for permanent, loving and
committed parents.
You
can help their dream come true!
