Adoption is a lifelong commitment to a child. When you choose to adopt, you agree to support, encourage, nurture, and love a child. It's an exciting and challenging decision.

The information below will tell you more about the adoption process with Hamilton County Jobs and Family Services (HCJFS).

 

If you have a current, approved homestudy

If you do NOT have a current approved homestudy

If you are interested in a specific child on our web site:
  • Please call us at (513) 632-6366 to ensure the child is in fact still available for adoption (a match committee outcome may not have been entered as yet if the date is at least one month old).

  • Provide your information as needed to process the inquiry

If you are interested in a specific child:
  • You should contact your local public children services agency for training and homestudy requirements

If you are interested in becoming an adoptive parent and you live in Hamilton County or a neighboring county:
