Lakasia is never far from her iPod – listening to music, like Chris Brown and Justin Bieber, is her favorite way to unwind and relax. Even when she’s engrossed in the latest Harry Potter novel, she has her earbuds in and is jamming to the beat.

This is a smart and responsible teenage girl who likes school and does well in her classes. Lakasia finds math challenging, but in a good way – when she can make all the problems work out with the right answer, it gives her tremendous satisfaction. As a continuation of the “working out problems” theme, when she graduates from college, Lakasia would like to become a lawyer someday and help solve other people’s problems.
